First off, I’d like to thank you for taking the time to read this. My personal financial situation has never been as scary and uncertain as it is now. I was laid off from my role as Technical Support Analyst for Forte Group in March of last year.
In an effort to become more marketable in IT, I acquired my COMPTiA Network+ certification. I now have two certifications: the Google IT Support Specialist certification and the COMPTiA Network+ certification. Unfortunately, since then, the only work I’ve been able to get is as a deployment technician for PSM Partners/Ann & Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital earlier this year. It was a short 2-month contract to deploy all the IT endpoints for a brand new cancer treatment center in Schaumburg, IL.
Since being laid off last year, I’ve burned through my entire savings just trying to stay afloat. Having had several knee surgeries on both knees, I can no longer work retail jobs that require you to stay on your feet the entire shift. I’m literally open to any type of work as long as it doesn’t require standing non-stop for hours on end.
In a couple of weeks, I won’t have enough money to feed myself or my two cats. So I hope you can find it in your heart to help me stay afloat a little while longer and continue to look for work. Anything is better than nothing at all. Thank you again for taking the time to read this, and God bless.
