Just tryin to make it through....

Hey guys. So, the other week Lisa had a toothache and being from the shore finding a dentist appointment was impossible. I got home from work on a Friday and found her in the bathroom floor crying and more or less gasping for breath. I took her to the ER, after spending the entire night there. They discovered it was the severe infection that had closed off over 90% of her airway and she was septic, they decided to intubate her and flew her on the helicopter to VCU hospital in Richmond where we have been for about 3 weeks now. The infection is persistent and keeps popping up in different areas almost weekly now, so 4 surgeries and a tracheotomy later we're still a ways out from getting home, a lot better off than we were when we got here but it's still going to take some serious time.

That being said I am currently out of work while I've been here for 3 weeks to be with her and I'm not going to be able to go back immediately because once again we don't know when we're getting discharged and even when we do she's going to need some help at home for a while.

We have already gone through the miniscule amount of savings we did have and have reached the point where I don't see another viable option besides trying to do this and reach out and ask for the kindness of others.

We're not asking for a ton just enough to help us cover food and the basic necessities and maybe a few of the bills that have been piling up while I've been here.

Thankfully the boys are in good hands and being taken care of while we're here , butbwhen we get home we also have to try and rush to find a new place to live because our current situation has to change so as a side note if anybody has any info on housing let us know or even just something to put towards it.

We really don't like to have to ask for help but we've hit a spot where I don't see another real option and I'm trying to keep us from struggling harder.v
