My Story
As a child I struggled immensely with my mental health. Regardless of the reasoning I was affected so much I was diagnosed with an eating disorder, depression, anxiety and a few other bits and pieces as I grew up. I spent almost three years in and out of hospital trying to treat this and throughout it all I felt as though I was seen for my mental health issues more than anything else.
Still I run is so close to my heart as is the fitness brand they are collaborating with. I am an ambassador for just strong so when I was asked if I wanted to join the team in the London Half it was a no-brainier.
Since fully committing to recovery I have secured my own flat, full time employment, become a competitive rugby player and so much more. I am running in April to prove to everyone and to myself that my mental health and my past is not the only option for my future. I'm running for the little girl in me that didn't think she would be able to live outside of a locked hospital. I am proud of where I am and this opportunity is perfect to raise money for all those who are in the position now that I was in 8 years ago.
If you can please donate to help this incredible cause and to give me motivation! Like many others running is not my forte but who knows, in the next 30 weeks I may fall in love.
