Hello, everyone!
My name is De Ja Conger. I have set up this gofundme to raise funds for the confiscation of my vehicle. I don’t even know where to start, but every once in awhile someone needs help. This is my call for assistance.
First and foremost, I want to let you all know that I am FULLY employed. I have been living in Georgia for the past two and half years. I have been working with my current employer going on a year, Wednesday, May 18th. The past two years that I have been living in Georgia I have been able to manage a full-time job and be a mother to a spunky three-year-old.
This past year alone has been such a rocky journey. I most recently left an abusive relationship. For two-months my son was in California with my family starting in February (no one knowing what was transpiring.) I was trying to figure out a way to escape because he did not need to see everything that I was going through mentally, emotionally, and physically. Fast forward from February to March, I got in an accident on March 4th. I was without my vehicle until May 6th. That same day my vehicle was back into my possession, I received notice from my landlord that my rent was going up $1,200. This is the second increase within 5 months. I was unable to make my car payment due to the sudden increase at the beginning of the year and then when March and April rolled around I was without my car and had to pay for not 1, but 2 rental cars until I got my car back and was paying for my car insurance. But, with all that being said, I WAS in communication with the bank who holds my loan and they simply did NOT care.
On Friday, May 12, in the evening, my car was confiscated. My son had a fever and I was going to run and get him medicine and walked out to no car. Also, a payment was made for my car the week of. Because the bank who “owns” my car is located in Sacramento, CA the creditor was not open until that upcoming Monday. To make a longer story short, I need $3,200 in order to retrieve my vehicle back. The costs would go towards the unpaid balance for the past few months, the fee for taking the vehicle, and the fee to keep the car at the tow yard.
I am a very hard-working, single mother just trying to make a way. Again, I am employed, but I am in need of immediate assistance financially because my car is my only means to get to work, take my son to school, and basic needs. I am dealing with the cards I have been dealt and relentlessly pushing through.
Any donations would help and I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you,
De Ja Conger
