I’m 20 years old, and I didn’t expect life to feel this heavy this early. My cat Jefferson is my lifeline, and a few weeks ago, he had a life-threatening emergency where I genuinely thought I might lose him.

I spent everything I had on emergency vet care to save his life. I don’t regret it at all, but it left me in a really difficult financial situation that I’m still trying to recover from.

Since then, I’ve been struggling to stay afloat, behind on bills and rent, and unable to afford school like I planned. Now my lease is ending, and I need to relocate to Memphis for stability and get back to the little family I have, but I don’t have the savings to make the move happen.

I’m working, but it’s not enough right now to cover all the sudden costs. I’m just trying to get through this stretch and keep Jefferson safe and stable.
