Melissa Zevallos tiene 33 años y es mamá de Mateo de 8 años. Meli era una chica normal extraordinaria, alegre y llena de vida, fue modelo, diseñadora de modas y una persona que iluminaba cada lugar al que llegaba hasta que, hace 7 años, una enfermedad al cerebro le ocasionó un paro cardio respiratorio lo que la dejó sin oxígeno por más de 20 minutos dejándola con un cuadro de Hipoxia Isquemica Severa. Desde esa fecha, ella se encuentra postrada en una cama de hospital despierta pero con un daño neuronal severo y sin poder hablar o moverse. A pesar de todos los esfuerzos que la familia y amigos han realizado, no ha sido posible que se recupere. Sin embargo no perdemos la fe y confiamos en que pronto aparecerá el tratamiento que pueda ayudarla a mejorar pero por lo pronto, sus padres luchan cada día por mantener su calidad de vida, ya que ella es 100% dependiente de cuidados de enfermeras y médicos así como de distintas terapias diarias para no deteriorarse. Es por eso que hoy pedimos que nos ayudes a poder recolectar los $50,000 que se necesitan para pagar la deuda que se mantiene con el hospital hasta la fecha y los cuidados del 2021 y 2022.

Melissa Zevallos is a 33 years old mother of a 8 year old boy named Mateo. Melissa was a normal, extraordinary, joyful and filled with life woman. She was a model, fashion designer, and a person who brightened up every room until she drastically suffered from a brain illness 7 years ago that caused a cardiorespiratory arrest which left her without any oxygen in her body for over 20 minutes, leaving her with severe ischemic hypoxia. After just a few months of giving birth to her first and only child, she began fighting the hardest battle of her life which she is still currently facing. Since that day, she has been laying in a hospital bed, awake but with an alarming neurological damage which does not allow her to speak or move. Even throughout all the efforts that her friends and family have been putting every day since then, she has not been able to recover. However, we have not lost our faith and we have hope that a treatment will come soon to be able help her recuperate. As for now, her parents, although only having a military retirement salary, fight every day to keep up with her quality of life, now that she is 100% dependent on nurses and doctors as well as different daily therapy and machines to keep her body functioning. That is why, today we are asking you all to help gather the $50,000 that is needed to pay off the hospital debt and the necessary expenses currently needed. Together we will be able to aid her improvement and health so she will be able to share precious moments with her son and see him grow.
