Nos dirigimos a ustedes para solicitar su apoyo para nuestro padre, Javier Efraín Gómez, quien está enfrentando un desafío inesperado en su proceso de recuperación. Recientemente, se sometió a una cirugía crítica para extirpar un tumor cerca de su cerebro. Aunque el procedimiento fue exitoso en cuanto a la eliminación del tumor, tuvo un resultado devastador e imprevisto: nuestro padre despertó sin poder utilizar el lado izquierdo de su cuerpo. Su brazo y pierna izquierdos están flácidos, lo que le impide caminar y cuidar de sí mismo como lo hacía antes.

Después de pasar una semana en el hospital, nuestro padre ha mostrado algo de progreso a través de las limitadas sesiones de fisioterapia que recibe una vez al día. Ha comenzado a recuperar un ligero movimiento en sus piernas y los médicos son optimistas acerca de su potencial recuperación. Su neurocirujano cree que es un excelente candidato para recibir fisioterapia en el centro Winter Garden, un programa que podría marcar una gran diferencia en su movilidad y calidad de vida.

Sin embargo, estamos enfrentando un desafío importante: aunque el seguro cubrirá hasta dos semanas de fisioterapia, el tratamiento extendido que él necesita con urgencia deberá ser pagado de forma particular. Esta terapia es crucial para su recuperación, pero la carga financiera es abrumadora para nuestra familia. Mi madre trabaja a tiempo completo para cubrir los gastos cotidianos como facturas, comida y otras necesidades, lo que le hace imposible costear el gasto adicional de la terapia por su cuenta.

Le pedimos humildemente su ayuda para recaudar fondos que cubran el costo de la fisioterapia ambulatoria de nuestro padre. We are reaching out to seek your support for our father, Javier Efraín Gomez, who is facing a challenging and unexpected recovery journey. Recently, he underwent a critical surgery to remove a tumor near his brain. While the procedure was successful in addressing the tumor, it came with a devastating and unforeseen outcome: our father woke up unable to use the left side of his body. His left arm and leg are limp, leaving him unable to walk or care for himself as he once did.

After spending a week in the hospital, our dad has shown some progress through the limited physical therapy sessions he receives once a day. He has started to regain slight movement in his legs, and his doctors are optimistic about his potential recovery. His neurosurgeon believes he is an excellent candidate for inpatient physical therapy at Winter Garden—a program that could make a significant difference in his mobility and quality of life.

However, we are facing a major challenge: while insurance will cover up to two weeks of physical therapy, the extended treatment he urgently needs will have to be paid for out of pocket. This therapy is critical for his recovery, but the financial burden is overwhelming for our family. My mother works full-time to cover everyday expenses such as bills, food, and other necessities, making it impossible for her to afford the additional cost of his therapy on her own.
