This is one of my ferrets, Juniper. We adopted her about 7 months ago as a bonded pair with another ferret. We don’t know her history, but she is such a sweet girl who loves going on adventures! Recently, we found a lump on her tail. After getting a sample taken at the vet, we have not gotten an exact diagnosis but enough abnormal cells were found to be concerned of cancer, and the vet has recommended removal. She requires a partial tail amputation. This comes with pre operative bloodwork to ensure she is healthy enough for anesthesia, and chest x-rays to rule out any lumps elsewhere prior to surgery. This is a high unexpected expense that we do not have the funds for, but would like to remove the tumor as soon as possible to prevent any spread of cancer in our girl. She deserves to continue living the best life possible.
