This type of illness attacks the brain. Junipers MRI shows some severe brain damage.
They were told that she may never be the same and that she will not come out of this unscathed.
5 days ago they were told that they believe she will live through this.
Juniper has been in the icu for 13 Days and yesterday finally moved to the neurology ward. She has been taken off all of her sedatives and no longer needs to be on the ventilation.
Now Her loving and devoted parents who have not left the hospital since they got there 13 days are waiting for her to wake up.
Once juniper starts waking up they will be able to see the extent of the damage. For now they have been told to keep hope as the brain is black box and that they do not always know exactly what is going on.
April was just about to start a new job, but obliviously due to Juniper getting very very sick she will not be able to start anytime soon and her first priority is as any mothers is to care for her daughter.
Jacob is in the navy and has had to take time off to be with with his wife and daughter.
Both April and Jacob are amazing parents and people, and they have been so strong through this whole ordeal, and they have gone through every parents worse nightmare but still remain so positive and so determined to give their daughter the best possible life, regardless of her recovery.
They have been told that recovery is a long process and to expect some set backs along the way.
April and Jacob haven’t asked anyone for any thing, but they never would, their hearts are big and they have had immense support in the last two weeks, but I’d like to extend that support from now until whenever they don’t need it anymore that’s why I started this page so they done have to worry, after all they have been through the last thing that they need is to worry about affording to live, and not that anyone that loves them would but worry alone is a burden we can all help lift.
