Junior Solis's Medical Amputation Expense Fund
Donation protected
If you are a local to North Idaho, or a foodie of the PNW, then you have probably heard of or personally know Junior Solis. Junior is a local staple to Bonner County, with cooking being his passion, naturally he is an incredible Chef, involved community member and most importantly, a young single Father to three.
Junior is a victim of Brittle Bone Disease, Charcot Neuropathy and Charcot Marie Tooth.
Because of these lifelong illnesses, throughout the years he has been in several comas, endured various bone infections that have gone sepsis, broken dozens of bones, and more hospitalizations than one human should have to endure in their lifetime. This also continuously weakens his immune system and amplifies any simple sickness like this common cold, which then leads to more dangerous illnesses, then infections, so on and so forth, creating constant turmoil for Junior and his family.
Due to the nature of these vicious diseases he must undergo his first below the knee amputation on January 26th, 2024. In combination with the amputation, they will simultaneously be preforming a back surgery from the damage done to his vertebrae and pelvis from walking on a clubbed foot for the last eight years.
While Junior does have health insurance...The surgery itself, the rehabilitation, post surgery expenses and other life changing expenses that come with loosing a limb do not come without significantly detrimental Out-Of-Pocket costs that fall directly on Junior to come up with the funds for, as soon as humanly possible.
After the surgery itself he will be hospitalized for an extended period of time then placed in a surgery rehabilitation center for 90 days and unable to work or live at his home for 120 days at minimum.
This fundraiser is to help offset all of these unprecedented costs. While this goal will not touch the loss of time and life lived or replace the amputated limb...it will provide mental relief for Junior, his children and immediate family members.
If you are looking for a way to serve your community members that have served YOU throughout the years, NOW is your chance. There is no donation too small, or gesture unkind. Please take the time to share this fundraiser and if you have the opportunity to give a monetary donation, it would quite literally be life changing for the Solis family. For CASH donations please drop them off at Bleeding Hearts Tattoo Emporium ATTN Jon or Erika. They will be given directly to junior.
