Junior Shamrocks Headed to Minto Cup 2019
Donation protected
The Victoria Junior A Shamrocks Box Lacrosse Team, made up of young men between the ages of 17 and 21, have won the honor of being the second seed to represent British Columbia in the coveted Minto Cup Tournament being held in Langley, BC from August 16 to 26, 2019.
This trophy is embolic of the top Junior Men’s Box Lacrosse team in Canada and is often referred to as the hardest trophy to win in Canadian Sports.
Although lacrosse has thrived in Victoria since the 1800s, we have only been to the Minto Cup 13 times and have only won 3 times. This year makes our 14th trip and hopefully 4th win.
In order to achieve this, the team must travel and stay in hotels. The costs to house and feed the players and staff are tremendous.
As such, we are asking you to support our efforts via this Go Fund Me page.
All proceeds will go into the costs of providing first class food and accommodation, thus giving our players their best opportunity to win.
We appreciate your support, Go Rocks!
