Junia Dindinger Medical Relief

On Friday, June 23rd, Junia and three of her close friends were in Colorado for a white water rafting trip and decided to take the morning to enjoy a ride in a Cessna airplane over the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. During the flight, the pilot dipped down into a valley, but it then closed up on her so quickly she wasn’t able to pull up in time. The plane then hit the trees at the side of the cliff, and when the plane finally came to a stop just feet from the Colorado 92 highway, it burst into flames.One of the passengers was thrown from the plane on impact, but Junia and the others three were forced to crawl out of the fire engulfed wreckage. While exiting the plane, Junia received 2nd and 3rd degree burns to multiple areas of her body. After initially being taken by ambulance to Montrose Regional Health, it was determined her injuries were too severe for them to treat there. Junia was transferred by air medical service to the University of Colorado Frostbite & Burn Center for treatment of her injuries. She is currently still in the burn unit at UC Health and receiving daily treatment and care of her burns. Junia and her family are still waiting for the determination to be made of whether skin grafting surgery will be required for her more severe areas of burns. It is currently still unknown when she will be able to be released and able to return to home. Junia is currently a TTU student and works part-time as an EMT at Putnam County EMS. Unfortunately due to only being able to work part-time during school, she does not currently have health insurance and with each day she is in the burn unit, the medical bills keep piling up. Junia remains one of the most upbeat and positive people during this time and is above all so grateful they all survived the crash. Any assistance with her medical bills would be greatly appreciated but above all she asks for prayers for healing and strength during this time!
