As many of you know, God blessed our family with news of Katie and Jared expecting a baby boy this February. Katie's pregnancy was going well with typical morning sickness and changes that come with pregnancy growing their precious baby. However, the pain increased after months of discomfort (she dismissed as pregnancy aches), so doctors began running tests. In November, the shocking results confirmed Lymphoma. The doctors placed a port for "mild" treatment to slow the growth of the tumor and allow the baby more time to grow. The plan is to induce labor early. Once the baby is born, they will stop treatment for two weeks, giving mommy, daddy, and baby bonding time. After two weeks, they will begin the aggressive treatments through this year...

First and foremost, we ask everyone to please lift Katie, Jared and baby in prayer. That the Lord lay his healing hands on Katie while she fights to beat this! We anticipate added costs and several medical bills that we would like to help them with. If you know Katie and Jared, you absolutely know the gigantic hearts they have, how they genuinely care for others, and what extraordinary people they are! We hope to help alleviate the worry of these unexpected financial burdens (NICU, hotel fees, treatments, and the inability to work) at a time when all their thoughts and emotions should solely be on Katies fight and their new little family.
