Jeannine Lee Lake is organizing a Juneteenth event in Martinsville, Indiana to bring unity to the community. Inspired by the need to combat hate and division, especially in light of recent challenges and divisive rhetoric from public figures, this event aims to create a space where everyone feels welcome and valued.

Juneteenth is a time to celebrate freedom, culture, and togetherness, and this event will feature vendor trucks, food trucks, crafts, games, and music to make it a memorable day for all.

The funds raised will be used to cover programming and activities, promotion and PR, hiring musicians, buying posters, making copies for distribution, mailings, and materials to create signs and banners.

Additionally, donations will help pay for permit costs to close down streets, event insurance and to ensure security for all attendees. Every contribution will help make this event possible and ensure it is safe, inclusive, and impactful for the entire community.
