Juneteenth 2026 is upon us, Central Oregon! This year, the Central Oregon Earthseeds and our community partners will be hosting an event at Open Space Event Studios in Bend. The event will be open to the public and will celebrate the culture, history, art, and power of Black Americans. The first Juneteenth celebration occured on June 19th, 1866 in Galveston, Texas, to celebrate the freedom of formerly enslaved Black Americans. Jubilee Day, as it is also known, is a reminder of the collective power and history that has been passed down.

This year, our goal is to raise $7,500 for the necessary permits, venue costs, and other event related costs. Details such time and vendor information will be announced closer to the event. At this time we plan to hold the event on June 19th, 2026.

We are honored to again host Juneteenth in Central Oregon, especially at a time when solidarity and community are crucial. Thank you to everyone who has participated in the past and to those who will join in the future.
