June’s vet bill

June is a survivor of the Kaporos rituals in Brooklyn, NYC. She was rescued after sustaining a horrific injury to one of her toes, which was severed and hanging on by a thread when I pulled her out from underneath a moving transport truck. June recently became sick. Her doctors believe an old bacterial infection from her toe injury has been quietly brewing since her rescue.
While I was in Colorado working with a team of rescuers to save hundreds of chickens from a bankrupt factory farm, June was becoming ill. After returning home from a month of rescue work, I’m relying upon this fundraiser to pay for the cost of June’s vet bill which has totaled to date $3200. ($500 was generously donated as an emergency healthcare grant by the Microsanctuary Resource Center). If this fundraiser exceeds the total cost of her bills, remaining funds will go towards future care.
