Junebug Needs Your Help for Cancer Treatment

Hi everyone! I hate to be asking for donations again, but unfortunately the situation with Junebug has worsened. She has recovered from the colon tumor removal surgery well, but unfortunately the biopsy of her tumor revealed it was a malignant and aggressive form of large T cell gastrointestinal lymphoma- stage 5b to be exact. The worst stage possible with poor prognosis of 6-9 months at best, we hope she will defy those odds. With the Chop protocol she has higher survival rates, but the treatment is much more expensive & intense every week visits to the vet. With the possibility of complications. It’s only a matter of time before she succumbs to this horrible disease, but if I can get 6 more months or a year with her, I will be happy. Her quality of life is still very good & her ultrasound was surprisingly not as bad as they were expecting. But she has tumors on her liver & spleen. Neither are affecting her enzymes on bloodwork, so not causing any issues for her at this time. I am faced with a difficult decision of to go all in with CHOP, which will be hard on both me and her with weekly appointments for 10 weeks straight if she’s able to handle the treatment. CHOP is $9-10K total. I am leaning toward going with a single agent method of just 1 chemo drug. It would be $3k total. It is every 3 weeks, 5 or 6 treatments total instead of 19 with CHOP. There are other lesser treatments of prednisone only, which might give her a few months.

I plan to charge it and go into debt at least to do the single agent protocol & I pray it’s the right decision for her. I don’t want her last year on earth to be miserable just to selfishly give myself more time with her. I want to do what is best for her and weekly chemo sounds like hell. I just had to go through that with my mom. I know how hard it is. Please consider helping. I’ve already charged almost 2k out of pocket for cancer tests, vet visit when she was vomiting and having diarrhea last week, ultrasounds, enemas, oncology consult. Every dollar of the last go fund me money raised went to her surgery & was so fast I had it in time to pay the vet directly with the donations. Such a huge blessing. I am hoping for

more blessings and time with my sweet Angel.

Hi everyone. I hate to even be doing this, but I found out on 4/17 that my dog Junebug has a tumor on her colon causing a blockage for her stool to pass. She needs surgery & it will cost $3,000 I don’t have at all. The vet says it could be cancer but they will send off the tumor for testing after surgery. She could have chemo ahead of her also, which google says is not cheap either. Since I don’t have the money & she needs surgery ASAP, I am planning to charge it to a credit card and hope I am able to make the monthly payments on it. I would go into debt 1000 times over if it meant having more time with my fur child. I understand Junebug is my pet & my financial responsibility, but I am asking for help if anyone can or wants to. All money raised will go towards her surgery next and paying off the surgery. Right now it is scheduled for Wednesday 4/23 next week. I am an absolute wreck and so worried about her. I wasn’t prepared for any of this, I took her to the vet because she had blood in her poop. I just thought she was having gastro issues, so this is hard to process and I’m terrified to lose her. She will be 11 years old on June 3rd this year and I have had her since she was 8 weeks old. I can’t imagine a life without her but I know one day I will have to. Today can’t be that day. I’m just not ready. Anyone who knows me, knows that Junebug is the love of my life and my soulmate dog. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please pray for Junebug to make it through the surgery ok, the tumor is in a difficult spot and she has to have her pelvic bone cut to get to it.
