June Lister Memorial Fundraiser

A zest for life, a creative weaver, so youthful, a wonderful friend.
We all have our own way of describing June. And yet, it's so difficult to describe someone like June in a few simple words..
Anybody who had the good fortune to spend time in June's company knows exactly what I mean. For many of us, time simply passes by, but June made time her own....time to smell the roses, time to remember people's birthdays, to call or write to a friend.
Now that precious time that we shared with her has come to an end, sooner that we would have wished.
To remember June's amazing life, we're setting up the June Lister Memorial Fundraiser
June's fundraiser is our way of saying a big thank you & supporting the organizations that played such a big part in June's later life:
UC San Diego Health Cancer Services & The Elizabeth Hospice
All your donations will go to supporting the work of these two dedicated care teams that were there when June really needed them & do such amazing work for so many people.
Nigel's Big Bear to Idyllwild PCT Challenge
To support the June Lister Memorial Fundraiser, Nigel will be attempting an 88 mile non-stop solo trail run, from Big Bear to Idyllwild along the Pacific Crest Trail. The 88 mile stretch winds through mountains and deserts, with a total elevation gain of 16,000ft & a drop of 17,000ft.
Nigel's PCT Trail Run Challenge was conceived as a tribute to his mother, June Lister, who passed away on April, 20th, aged 84.
88 miles!
The PCTR (Pacific Crest Trail Run) Challenge requires months of preparation and Nigel is committed to training daily. However, covering 88 miles, non-stop, is a big ask and the run requires a great deal of endurance, a sustainable running pace for at least 24 hours and lots of water!!
Nigel won't be alone though...a support team will follow him to provide back up & encouragement along the way
Support Nigel's Big Bear to Idyllwild Challenge now by donating to the June Lister Memorial Fundraiser.
Thanking you all in advance for your contributions.
