I hate asking for help. Detest it. And if it was just one thing I wouldn't. Unfortunately June is experiencing a slew of serious medical issues all at once and I'm really struggling to come up the the funds to treat them.
About a month ago June's right eye began to swell. I brought her to her secondary vet who put her on eye drops and I scheduled her to see a specialist. The next week June developed what I originally thought was a diaper rash but within 24 hours it had spread over her entire body. It turned out to be a skin infection likely prompted by her allergiess. I had to cancel the specialist appointment to get her skin condition treated but I naively thought because she was on eye drops she would be ok for a couple more weeks. I went out of town for a couple days and came home to June skin in even worse condition. I took her back to the vet only to find that they had put her on Anti Biotics that she is allergic to. Which yes, was in her file. Then last week I found a large mass on her hind end and took her to see her primary vet for a biopsy. It came back inconclusive and being that June has had cancerous tumors removed in the past her vet feels it would be safer to remove it. While this was all going on I noticed June's eye was getting worse so I asked if it should/could be removed at the same time as the mass removal so she wouldn't have to go under twice. I had been warned that if her eye got worse, removalwas likely. Her vet said yes but she wanted her to see the specialist first to confirm it needs to be removed which I agree with. Her appointment is on Monday. In the last few days though June's eye has become SUBSTANTIALLY worse and I have no doubts will need to be removed.
With all the diagnostic appointments I've had to have for June it's depleted any savings and I just don't have the money for the impending surgical costs at this moment. If her eye wasn't in the condition it was and I had time to save I wouldn't be asking for help, but as you can see this is an emergency situation and she comes before my pride. Thank you so incredibly much for any help from June and I.
