Maya, my wonderful Maine Coon baby has sadly reached a point where palliative care is the only option.
She is the toughest cat I’ve ever met, she’s been battling cancer successfully for four years now, but despite two large surgeries to remove her mammary chains, unfortunately it has spread to her lungs and back legs, making walking and jumping more difficult. Despite this, her tough little kitty body will still climb to the top of the cat tower just to relax and get some sun.
Anyone who has ever met Maya knows how sweet, friendly, silly, and full of personality (and sometimes some attitude) she is. She has been my rock for 13 years now and I want to ensure the end of her time here with me is spent comfortably and spoiled as much as possible.
I have her needs met in terms of food and medicine, however the end of life costs (euthanasia and cremation) is a larger bill that could come at any point. I’ve been told that a couple more months would be a gift, and it could change at any point. All I am asking for is assistance with the euthanasia and cremation cost. Regardless of whether I hit the goal I will do whatever I have to for her, and if I somehow exceed the goal it will simply go to spoiling her more and making sure she’s happy as long as possible.
