Help Duse Productions Bring Classic Theatre Back to New York
Hi, I'm Sanio - founder of Duse Productions, a New York theatre company dedicated to staging the greatest plays ever written with clarity, honesty, and care.
We believe the best plays of our time were written hundreds of years ago. Our job isn't to reinvent them, it's to let them breathe.
What we've done.
Our debut production was Henrik Ibsen's An Enemy of the People. A timeless drama about truth, courage, and what happens when one person refuses to go along with the crowd. We staged it twice in New York City, first at the American Theatre of Actors and then at Theater for the New City, where it ran in an extended engagement by popular demand.
What's next.
May 2026, we open A Night of Chekhov at Actors Temple Theatre on West 47th Street. Three of Chekhov's rarely produced comic masterworks - Swan Song, The Proposal, and The Bear - performed together as one complete evening. Funny, warm, and completely alive. Running May 16 - June 28, 2026.
What your support does.
Independent theatre runs on thin margins. Every dollar raised goes directly toward paying our actors and crew, covering production costs, and making sure this work reaches the audience it deserves. Your support is what gets us through the door - ticket sales take it from there.
If you believe great plays deserve great productions, we'd love to have you with us.
