On Sun. 09/01/19, as everyone was watching, preparing, and worrying about Hurricane Dorian & it's path, our Jazzy unexpectedly was in a different situation..she suddenly found herself fighting for her life.
During her normal morning routine, Jazzy became violently ill, incoherent, & was rushed to the hospital. After tests, doctors informed us she had suffered a ruptured carotid aneurysm that caused subarachnoid hemorrhaging in her brain & said she was very lucky to still be alive. Neurologists explained she would need a risky emergency carotid angioplasty to better assess her aneurysm & for neurosurgeons to decide whether she would benefit from a (less invasive) aneurysm coiling or an aneurysm clipping (more invasive with increased length of recovery).
Thankfully, doctors were able to perform the angioplasty with no complications but concluded Jazzy would need to undergo emergency brain surgery to clip the aneurysm.
After countless hours in surgery, we were told her surgery was a success. Jazzy has since remained in the hospital recovering from surgery, undergoing numerous daily tests & procedures to check for any (of many) possible complications.
The neurosurgeon & his team have explained she's not completely out of the woods, may have a lengthy road to recovery, & will not be able to immediately return to work. After her eventual discharge, she will still need 24/7 supervision & assistance for about 60 days & may have to continue to receive rehab services.
Given the circumstances, we have truly seen the grace of God over Jazzy's life & we want nothing more than her to only focus on her well being & recovery. All who know Jazzy, know what a special, vibrant, selfless, & kind person she is. We are extremely grateful to still have her here with us.
As she has become more coherent & alert of whats going on, Jazzy has become increasingly anxious & worried about her time out of work & subsequent mounting of her personal & hospital/medical bills. The  collected funds are to go towards her medical bills as well as her personal expenses incurred during her rehabilitation time.  Campaign funds will be set up to go directly to Jazzy. 
We know it is not easy to ask for help, but we want to be able to support Jazzy during a time that she truly needs us. Doctors have stated her complete peace of mind is paramount during her recovery process. Hopefully, this fundraiser can help provide that for Jazzy, along with feeling loved, cared for, &  supported during this time.
