Cassidy is a 15 year old tenth-grade student at JFHS.  She was recently diagnosed with a recurrence of osteosarcoma. She was originally diagnosed with osteosarcoma at age 9 (when she was a fourth-grade student at TJES).  She is being treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Cassidy has had multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation treatments over the past six years to fight this terrible cancer.  Currently she is undergoing another round (4 weeks of treatment, five days per week) of radiation therapy. The family is hopeful that this treatment will shrink the newest tumor so Cassidy doesn't have to endure yet another surgery.
