JUMP FOR MARY

We are raising funds for the Intensive Care Unit, University Hospital Galway in memory of Mary Kenny and would like your help.

 

Many of you will know that our beautiful Mary passed away suddenly from a Brain Aneurysm in July 2019. Due to Covid 19 we were unable to organise a fundraiser but thankfully with the easing of restrictions we are now able to give back to the amazing team at University Hospital Galway.

 

Marys untimely passing continues to be heart breaking for all of us. Mary was a special person in so many ways but above all she was a wonderful mother to Isabelle, loving wife to John and an incredible sister and friend. Marys life was tragically cut short in July 2019 and we continue to miss her every day.

 

Mary had an infectious smile that lit up every room, she had a brilliant sense of humour and her warm, kind hearted nature brought her friends from far and wide. There was never a dull moment or a day without laughter spent with Mary.

We are privileged to have had Mary in our lives for the time that we did and hold onto the memories that we shared together.

Mary always had a twinkle in her eye and loved nothing more than to be surrounded with family and friends and she remains forever in our hearts.

 

Marys legacy will live on forever and in memory of her a group of close friends and family are doing a Skydive on the 7th of August at the Irish Parachute Club, Co. Offaly to raise funds for the Intensive care unit in University Hospital Galway.

 

The doctors and nurses who cared for our Mary in her final days showed us true care and compassion and we are forever indebted to them for this. The medical team supported us to make the final decision to entrust Mary to the angels and in doing so to make the decision to donate Marys organs saving three peoples lives across Ireland. Throughout her life, Mary was always a very giving person and we know that this would have been her wish and are proud that we found the strength to take this step for her in her final hours.

 

We wish to keep Marys memory alive while celebrating her life by taking on this challenge and at the same time giving back to the ICU for the care and support that they gave to our family during Marys final days and that they continue to give to families every day. We were allowed the time to say our goodbyes to our dear Mary whilst being surrounded by family and close friends and we will always be grateful for this time.
