“Jump for Janie” Cancer Fundraiser for Janie Steiner
Donation protected
Our friend and horse trainer, Janie, just received some terrible, life changing news. After discovering a lump that was rapidly growing in size, she underwent several tests that confirmed that she has stage 3 breast cancer. Although treatable, it is an aggressive form of cancer, and she has a serious battle ahead.
Janie is a very special person. Hard working does not even begin to cover it. Having worked for years at the racetrack, a capable horsewoman, she moved on and built up her own business as a hunter/jumper trainer. She runs a barn full of client’s horses that she dedicates all of her time to training and caring for, always going above and beyond.
Janie is the kindest, most thoughtful and selfless human being. Always there for everyone in her life, tirelessly listening to problems, ailments and being a shoulder to cry on. This bundle of fun, always has a smile on her face, even when she isn’t feeling good herself, forever making sure that all around her are happy and supported. Now it is time for her to receive some of that support in return.
As we all know, healthcare and insurance in our country can be bank-breaking, particularly when it comes to serious illnesses. Deductible’s alone can be a challenge to cover, especially if you are self-employed and are unable to work. So we have set up this fundraiser, as a safety net for Janie to relieve some of the financial burden. She is set to start numerous appointments for tests and chemotherapy at City of Hope in the coming weeks and months. In typical Janie fashion, when we told her of our fundraising plans, she immediately wanted to donate the money to a cancer charity. So in the event that anything is left over after her treatment, that is exactly what will be done.
We are holding a ‘Play Date’ on **DATE CHANGE** SATURDAY, APRIL 12TH, 2025 at Sycamore Canyon Equestrian Center. Please come and support Janie, or simply make a donation here, she is more than deserving of our help.
