Help Jumbalaya Come Home
Donation protected
My name is irrelevant but I am a friend of Miss Jum's mum and dad, Niamh and Liam. Jumbalaya is a very cute and cuddly 9 year old grey cat who has been a part of Niamh's life for almost her whole life. She loves to play with her fish and adores basking in the sun on her hamock. She occasionally will make protesting dino noises but if you have food and treats, she will be your best friend in a heart beat. Did I mention she is also deaf, so your physical presence over your voice causes her to run for scritches. Niamh is a first-year vet student and a fantastic veterinary care worker who has been working with well and ill pets for the better part of a decade! She is working part-time while in school and Liam is also finishing up his education. Niamh has spent so much time and dedication taking care of other's people's pets in regular vet clinics, emergency vet clinics, and as well as wildlife in her free time. Niamh and Jum have been together for quite some time now and they live their happy life in the GTA. Jumbalaya has had a bit of a finicky health history that her mum and dad have dealt with very meticulously, but in trying to keep her healthy Jum's body decided to have a reaction that has put her in the intensive care unit at the Ontario Veterinary College's Health Science Center. She has been having some ups and downs since her arrival but her mom and dad are trying everything they possibly can to make sure she gets better. She has been receiving excellent care, but with emergency and intensive care comes a lot of extra costs that hopefully can be partially covered through donations.
Our hope is that you might donate a few dollars to someone who has contributed to the veterinary community and who is going to be dedicating her life to veterinary medicine to help other pets in need. I couldn't think of a family more deserving and hardworking than Jum, Niamh and Liam.
