This July, I will be going to South Africa with IR Canada to help underprivileged children and youth in an impoverished neighbourhood south of Johannesberg.  I believe that Education = Empowerment and as a volunteer, I will be teaching children in the Osizweni Community Centre  , a school that focuses on fostering developmental needs of orphans and vulnerable children so they are able to become productive members of society. I have committed to raise $3000 for the school. These funds will go directly towards school expenses including providing meals & supplies to children, creating a mini farm so students can learn how to grow nutritious food, and expanding the library so they have access to more books.
