July 2023 Music Day Camp in Rural Jamaica

THE GIFT OF MUSIC CAN TRANSFORM A LIFE!

Music/arts education in rural Jamaica is both unaffordable (due to poverty) and inaccessible (due to lack of resources). Jamaicans of all ages are thirsty to learn how to play instruments and read music.

Since 2012, ETS has conducted music day camps each summer in the poor mountain area of Maggotty, St. Elizabeth. ETS offers the program at no charge for ages 12+; participants choose one instrument to learn for the week (24 hours of hands-on training).

Funding is based entirely on donations which are needed to provide well-equipped music classrooms (one instrument per participant), daily lunches, snacks, beverages, lesson books and prizes.

Volunteer Canadian music teachers give of their time, experience and personal resources to contribute to this very worthwhile and much needed effort.

Will you help make a difference in someone's life through the gift of music education?
