Julio's Medical Brigade to Panama
Donation protected
Hello everyone! My name is Julio Blanco. I am a senior at the University of South Florida, majoring in Biomedical Anthropology on the pre-medical track, with aspirations of becoming a Pediatric Medical Doctor dedicated to global healthcare.
Some time ago, my parents brought my sister and me from Honduras to the United States in pursuit of the American Dream. Growing up, I’ve always dreamed of returning to underserved communities in Latin America to give back to my people. Last year, I had the privilege of leading a medical brigade to Santiago De Puringla, Honduras, where we provided essential healthcare services, including dental care, vision exams, nutrition checkups, and more, to hundreds of individuals. Witnessing the resilience, warmth, and gratitude of the community was a life-changing experience—one that solidified my passion for global healthcare and reaffirmed my commitment to making a difference.
This August, I have the opportunity to embark on another medical mission trip—this time to Panama. Alongside a team of dedicated volunteers, we will provide much-needed medical care, health education, and resources to rural communities with limited access to healthcare. However, in order to make this trip possible, I need your help.
The total cost of the trip is $2,300, which covers travel expenses, accommodations, medical supplies, and program fees. As much as I would love to fund this experience on my own, I’m reaching out to my friends, family, and community for support. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help me return to Latin America and continue this meaningful work.
If you can't donate, I’d greatly appreciate it if you could share this fundraiser to help spread the word. Thank you so much for your support and for believing in my journey to create a healthier, more compassionate world. ¡Gracias por todo el apoyo!
