Julio Delgado's Fund

UPDATE:

Julio Antonio Delgado 1949 – 2018

Julio left us to join our Father in Heaven on Friday, January 19th. Julio was born in La Linea, Spain and later moved to England working in the hospitality field and on cruise lines for 5 years. Eventually, Julio relocated to the United States where he worked in the casino industry as a Bellman. Several years later he was able to let his true talent shine working as a master carpenter. Julio retired about 10 years ago, but in recent years enjoyed working alongside his Godson, Taylor,  doing home improvement projects.

He is survived by wife Janeth Acosta Delgado, his daughters, Monica, Sandra, Amanda (and her husband Dan), Erica (and her husband Luis), and his son Dillon. He is also survived by his brother Pepe and sister Sylvia; and predeceased by his brother Jesus.

Julio spent that last three years of his life living in Mays Landing, NJ with his wife Janeth, best friends Santos & Lisa and good friend Scott.

Julio loved spending time with his family, working on various woodworking projects, enjoying a nice glass of wine and Chata’s (his nickname for Janeth) cooking! He was a kind and loving man who would go out of his way to help anyone and will be remembered for his very strong heart and hands (anyone who shook his hand knows this). Julio had a great sense of humor and found something positive in the most difficult times. He was a stickler for perfection in his work and a pure old-fashioned gentleman in every sense. When he dressed, Julio he did so to perfection from his pleated shirt sleeves to great smelling cologne; if you hugged him you smelled like him {{insert family chuckle here}}.

Julio was an avid fan of the soccer team Real Madrid. Anyone in the house or near vicinity knew when he was watching a game because whenever they scored, his enthusiastic shouts of “Gooooaaal!” could be heard blocks away.

He was surrounded by his loving family and friends during his final days and passed peacefully to reunite with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We continue to make an effort to raise funds for his service and for Janeth who has very limited resources.

We are so very grateful for all the love and support during these difficult months.

Love,
Lisa & Taylor

We write this with a very heavy heart. Julio, who many of you know, is like an Uncle to me and my mom’s best friend was recently diagnosed with terminal advanced Pancreatic Cancer and is treating at Jefferson University Hospital. – He’s a huge part of our family and we love him so much, we are broken hearted with this horrible news.

Julio and his wife, Janeth were our neighbors in Smithville for many years and now live with my mom and step dad. Julio is the type of person who always goes out of his way to help others, a custom carpenter by trade – he can build just about anything with his hands and heart. No matter what, if you needed something Julio never hesitated to step in and help, build something, paint something, whatever he could do to help with his amazing skills – he would do it. Several years back my mom became very sick and Julio and Janeth stepped right in to help; when my grandmother was dying of cancer – they were at our house every day helping with whatever my mom needed to help care for her. Now he needs us, he needs our help.

I brought him to a very well-known homeopathic doctor in PA 2.5 hours away, that has provided him a regimented diet and supplement routine to help build his strength but the insurance doesn’t cover this treatment and he’ll need care throughout and nutritional supplies.

My mom and I are starting a gofundme campaign to help raise funds for Julio’s needs during this difficult time. His finances are extremely limited, he’ll need help with medical bills and we’re trying to cover most of the expenses but we need some help. Janeth is focusing 100% attention to caring for Julio and we need to help her take care of him and not worry where things are coming from to make it happen.

Please open up your hearts –  we need prayers for a miracle, lot’s of prayers and every little bit helps, it adds up. Thank you in advance for helping. God bless! <3

Taylor
