Julio & Acosta Family Relief Fund
Donation protected
This donation is being created in hopes to support Julio and his family through a huge unforeseen financial burden.
Julio is the coolest guy around, and he needs a little help from his friends!
14 years ago, Julio underwent a life-saving kidney transplant procedure after receiving a donated kidney from his brother, who has since tragically passed away. Since his initial Kidney Transplant, Julio has been living his life to the fullest as the sociable, outgoing, warm-hearted person he is. He is always willing to lend a hand when possible, and maintains great relationships with his friends, coworkers and family that he adores.
Unfortunately, our friend and his family have recently run into some medical issues, as well as a cascade of other financial burdens that have accompanied.
What's going on:
The Kidney that was transplanted 14 years ago is now failing, and our friend will likely need a re-transplantation.
Julio has also been recently diagnosed with multiple herniated discs throughout his spine, leading to tons of chronic pain.
Surgery will likely be required for both of these issues, only furthering the financial burden on the Acosta family.
These medical issues have put Julio into a "light-duty" role at work, meaning that he is currently unable to complete his regular duties. Regardless of the light-duty help from his job, this has led to less hours per week that only furthers the problem.
Furthermore, there has been some other important issues that have added to the financial crisis:
The family roof requires $3,600 in immediate repairs due to recent weather damages during the storms.
After the repair, the whole roof will ultimately need to be replaced as well due to issues from the moisture.
Mrs. Acosta injured her ankle requiring an outpatient procedure.
With all of that being said, this series of unfortunate events has built anxiety and uncertainty throughout their family. Hopefully we can come together here and help lift some of the stress off of the Acosta family, as they deserve all the help they can get. I believe this fundraiser is the right thing to do as an effort to help our friends through these trying times.
