Imagine that every single person on your team believes in you, and believes in your ability to reach your goals. How do you think that would make you feel? I can tell you it is the best feeling in the world!

I wake up every day feeling like this because I have so many people that love and support me and I am super appreciative of all of them. Each person on Team Juliette (that’s what we call it :) encourages me, inspires me and gives me hope. I know that I wouldn’t be here today without every single one of them.

This season, I have two really big goals that I am working hard for. The first one is the World Championship Triathlon in Slovakia for Special Olympics! The second one is the USAT Junior and Youth National Triathlon in Wisconsin! I have even earned a spot to compete in my age group division. This is such an honor and I am working hard every day to represent!

When I first started Triathlon with Special Olympics Florida, I didn’t know anything about it. I was on the Special Olympics Swim Team and my coach asked if I’d like to compete in triathlon. I said yes! And then I never looked back. It has been such an awesome journey and I know I was meant to be a triathlete. I found my passion in this sport and my people. I am a triathlete for LIFE!

In the beginning, I rode my Walmart bike in my races. It was a great start while I learned what triathlon was all about. On race days, I remember watching everyone speed past me on their bikes, with their clip-in shoes, and their cool helmets…. and I thought to myself, someday that will be me! I knew it would take practice and a lot of hard work but I’d get there. And guess what! Now I am HERE! And I am SO READY to have a real tri bike!

Now, you may be thinking why do I need this exact bike? Other than the fact that it’s PINK! There are 3 really important reasons why this is THE bike for me…

First, Long Lasting – I am a lifetime triathlete, remember? So this bike is made by an amazing company and is built well. I know it’s going to last me many, many years for all of those races I have my heart set on.

Next is Perfect Fit – this bike is made to fit me perfectly. I went to see this awesome bike fitter, named Kameel, and he did these really cool tests to help find the bike that is perfect for me and this was the #1 fit. How cool is that!

Last, but definitely not least, is safety. This is the most important one because I am racing BY MYSELF NOW! That’s right! You heard me say it… I am racing by myself now. For all of my races before, I always had a Unified Partner for safety. But now, I am confident and have the ability to race by myself! That’s why I can compete in Slovakia and why I can compete in my age group at USAT! Because I can race by myself. And I am SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!! Can you believe it?

So there you have it... Long Lasting, Fit and Safety… all of these things add up to confidence and hope! I have the confidence to keep going and achieve every one of my dreams. I have Team Juliette to cheer me on, support me and love me. And I know I have no LIMITS! No one will ever tell me I can’t do something because I know I AM UNSTOPPABLE!
