As you most likely know by now, NYC has suspended all dine-in restaurants, bars, and clubs due to the spread of COVID-19 aka Coronavirus. And while we may agree with the sudden decision made by the local government in favor of public health, we can't forget those instantly affected by the decision either.
Even though it's only been a week since NYC cut restaurant capacity by 50% - only to completely cut it a few days later - we were hoping to have an update or timeline from NYC by now. We realize now that we're probably only in the early stages of the quarantine. Because of the unknown we are going to set up a temporary relief fund for our affected staff. 100% of the funds will go directly to our furloughed staff.
Juliette Restaurant will be back once this is over. But until then we need financial help taking care of those we put in charge of taking care of so many others until recently. That includes those you might recognize but also those you wouldn't working effortlessly in our kitchen. We know these are uncertain times but as the saying goes, "anything helps" and we truly believe that. Consider giving what you can, especially if you are in a position to.
