One and a half years ago, I fainted while letting our dog outside and fell all the way down our basement stairs. The fall left me with several fractures—my right knee shattered, multiple ribs broken, two fractures in my back, and a fractured thumb. I have untreated osteoporosis, which is why my injuries were so severe. I am grateful every day that I didn’t break my neck or lose my life.

We had been saving to have my remaining teeth pulled and dentures made, but all of our savings went toward my medical bills after the accident. Now, I need to have my teeth removed so I can begin much-needed osteoporosis medication. My doctor has explained that I must do this first, as starting treatment with bad teeth could lead to a serious infection and even the loss of my jaw.

Getting my teeth removed and proper dentures will help me start osteoporosis treatment and improve my quality of life. Right now, my upper dentures are too big and dull, making it impossible to chew meat or eat a normal diet. I’ve lost 60 pounds and just want to feel better and regain some normalcy. Dental insurance covers very little, and my physician has given me until June to get this done. I can’t do it alone and would be so grateful for any help. Thank you for your kindness and support.
