Our amazing daughter Julie was diagnosed in July with Mediastinal B Cell Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Julie is 19 years old and is just beginning her life journey. Unfortunately she has to start with battling cancer. More…
Her treatment of chemotherapy over the next few months consists of one week of 24 hour inpatient treatment, followed by two weeks home. This will be repeated 6 times over the next few months.
While we have applied for medical assistance and disability, these have still not yet been approved and the bills and treatment have already begun. Her treatment costs far outweigh assistance and most non-profit organizations are geared towards young children or older adults so Julie doesn't qualify for many of them being a young adult.
Our goals are to help Julie pay for her medical treatments and her monthly expenses. We also want to keep her life as normal as possible during this journey. Many people ask how they can help and we have been purchasing gift cards and making baskets so that she has some financial independence through this as well. Julie has been so appreciative of this so we would also like to continue this for her over the next few months also.
