Julie’s Living List
Hello,
Firstly, you don’t need me to tell you that cancer is utter rubbish.
One minute you’re living life happily without a care in the world other than who’s making the next cuppa, then the next you receive the news nobody can ever prepare you for.
‘You have cancer’
This is our mums story, and for those that know our Julie, you’ll know she’s a force to be reckoned with, an inspirational woman to many, and one of the kindest humans to grace the earth
Julie is 60, not an old age by any means, and since she could walk and talk has worked her entire life. Over the years, she’s helped so many people through whatever life has thrown at them, supporting anyone and everyone who has asked or needed a little extra love during a time of crisis, or just getting through the everyday life struggles.
If you think of our mum, I guarantee you’ll be able to recall a time where she’s selflessly helped you out, or you know of a time she’s put others before herself.
From her unwavering support for her beloved Burnley FC, to the times of Deputy Mayor in Hebden Bridge, there’s not been a day gone by in the last 60 years where she’s not been there for someone.
Well, now is the time we’re calling out to the world to help Julie, she’ll tut and roll her eyes at us once she realises what we’ve done, but we’re willing to face those consequences.
Julies been diagnosed with inoperable liver cancer that’s spread to her bile duct and attached itself to her main artery, sadly, there’s nothing the amazing medical staff can do, other than give her palliative care and make her as comfortable as possible for whatever precious time she’s got left with us all.
We want Julie to be able to complete her ‘living list’ and live out her days without financial worry. We know through her love of cruising, that one last cruise is at the top of this, as well as being able to enjoy the rest of her days without additional worries.
We also know that Julie would have never asked for this sort of support, as she’d rather keep her worries to herself, so all of your support truly means a lot
We will of course keep everyone updated on Julies story, and are so grateful for any amount you can donate, fundraising you can complete, or just share and spread the word to raise awareness of this awful disease as we’d love to be able to help more people that are going through what our mum is right now.
Much love
Kelly & Kirsty
