Hi, my name is Teresa and I am so sad to even being writing this as it breaks my heart to think about the reality of the position my sister is in.
A week ago, my sister, Julie Woody (Murtha) was diagnosed with two very sizable brain tumors in the right side of her brain. This came as a shock to all of us as she thought she just had mild cognitive symptoms. While we are so grateful that they discovered what was wrong, she has a long road ahead of her for treatment and recovery
Next Wednesday she is scheduled for a 7 hour surgery to remove the larger tumor and assess the mass further. She’ll be in the hospital for a few days after the mass is removed to stabilize and recover
I’m here with a humble heart to ask if you can help alleviate the strain that this financial burden will surely bring upon her family. My hope is that she can focus on recovery and not on the money aspect of this journey
Anyone who knows Julie personally is touched by how considerate, generous and loving she is. She always has a smile on her face and is there to offer a kind and supportive word. It pains me to see such a bright light go through such a dark journey.
Even if you’re not able to give financially, please send all the love and prayers you can her way. She’s a fighter. She’s strong, but she needs your support emotional or otherwise.
I’ll post updates as I have them, including photos, if possible and am happy to try to answer any questions or provide support for anyone who is emotionally affected by this news.
She is my best friend, my role model and my hero. It’s time to support her like she’s always supported those she loves
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
