As many of you know, Julie Leblanc was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia a little less than a year ago. She as endured many rounds of chemotherapy and multiple hospital admissions from infections and other complications. Although she has gone through hell and continues to do so, she has not lost her beautiful spirit that so many of us know. But her fight continues....
"Hello everyone! For those that didn't catch my last update on facebook-here is a little recap for ya. After a little less than a year of chemotherapy, I found out that I will be needing a bone marrow transplant. Typically people receive transplants when the chemotherapy lacks the ability to get rid of the cancer or if you relapse and the cancer comes back. Good news; the cancer did not come back...bad news; I still need to have a transplant. While waiting to start my past phase of chemotherapy my bone marrow became extrememly tired and eventually just stopped regenerating; resulting in me not being able to finish the rest of my treatment. I wish I was delivering a better, more positive update, but it's something that needs to be done and I am more than ready to be and feel better. Unfortunately, it gets worse before it gets better BUT it will get better!
What this all means is I still have bills coming my way and I can't work for quite some time. I have received more hope, support and love that I could've ever imagined. I am so thankful for not only my lovely friends and family but the very generous strangers that have reached out as well. You are all incredible and have helped me so much already. I wil never be able to completely express how much I appreciate even the tiniest bit of help and all the positive thoughts and messages you have given me this past year."
Please support Julie and her family as they continue the battle to recovery!
