Julieanne's Cancer Care

Donation protected
Juileanne is a dear friend, a fantastic awesome woman who selflessley puts the needs of others before herself. She is in urgent need of support from others to continue a life of quality with her three children and precious new grand daughter.

Christmas 2013 proved a difficult time as Julieanne was diagnosed with breast cancer and faced the thought of a full mastectomy and extensive Chemotherapy in the new year. The following 2 years saw Julieanne have reconstructive surgery and many months in bed no longer able to work. The Chemo caused cronic fatigue impacting on her ability to deal with the crippling side affects of the cancers.
Julieanne returned to work but within 6 months realised something was seriously wrong.  One day while sitting at her desk experienced intense pain in her hip. Scans then revealed the cancer had spread to her spine, ribs, hip, liver and lungs. Julieanne's tumor markers had skyrocketed to 1700! With 6 months of grueling Chemo and radiation and much prayer from family and friends saw her health slowly improve and her markers come down to 440.
Unfortunately now her new treatment is not working and recent CT scans show new growths in most of her organs. In the last 8 weeks her wonderful Oncolongist has put her on oral Chemo to improve her quality of life. He has also suggested a new drug treatment to arrest the cancer,  called Palbociclib. Unfortunately it has only just been approved in Australia and is still not on the PBS. It costs $4700 per month, and JulieAnne needs a minimum of 4 treatments for the desired effect. The treatment has the ablility to double the progression free period of survival and in 20% of cases effectes complete cancer remission!

Julieanne has worked tirelessly for many many years helping those less fortunate than herself. Welcoming into her own house homeless youth, refugees and many others needing care and support. Julieanne has helped many families with children, find jobs, accomodation and furnish new homes. fundraise to send their children to school, buy transport and what ever else was required to help them get back on their feet. Many youth that Julieanne has helped over the years now consider her their sarograte 'mother' and part of her extended family.
Any donation will help Julieanne get a step closer to the treatment she needs. Help us help Julieanne continue her treatment so she may return to the amazing work she does for others.
