Gerard and I are choosing to forego a traditional wedding registry. We realise how blessed we are to have each other, our furbabies, our family and friends and feel we have everything we could ever want or need. Instead of asking for traditional wedding gifts, we would love to be able to make a difference (with the help of our guests) to a charity that is very dear to our hearts. I don't think it's any secret to anyone that knows us, that my true happiness in life is animals, especially our gorgeous DJ, Lolly & our rainbow bridge girl, Snowy. DJ changed my life, he showed me what unconditional love was, he taught me how amazing animals are, he was the reason I became a vegan. I don't think poor Gerard knew what he was in for when he met me. Yet his unconditional love for me meant he embraced the things that he knew meant the most to me. The day he said "I think I'll try being vegan", purely because he knew how much it meant to me, that was the day I knew he was "the one".
Why Edgar's Mission? Given that we are vegan, our wedding day will also be entirely vegan. Therefore, we felt this was the perfect charity to fundraise for. Edgar's Mission is a not-for-profit Farm Sanctuary that currently provides life-long care and love to over 450 rescued farm animals. They seek to create a humane and just world for humans and non-humans through education, advocacy and empowerment. https://www.edgarsmission.org.au
