Julie Williams' New Liver

Donation protected
Julie Williams is a wife, a mother of five, and a grandmother of two. She always had a house full of children, whether they were her own, their friends, or family. She makes sure everyone is well-fed and has a place to stay. Julie is the epitome of a loving and caring mother.

In August 2020, Julie was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. Her liver is scarred and is unable to heal, and therefore needs a liver transplant. She has been accepted to be on the liver transplant list and can be called at any time to receive her transplant. She has to visit the hospital once a week until she gets the transplant. Then once she receives her new liver, she has to stay in the hospital for at least eleven days if there aren’t any complications; then she won’t be released until the costs of her post-transplant medication is covered. However, they are not able to tell her the cost until it actually happens. She’s going to have to be on multiple medications for the rest of her life, which is going to be a large expense for her and her husband. Julie will also have to visit the hospital twice a week for three months for blood work and labs. She needs to have round the clock care for the first three months following the surgery to ensure that there aren’t any problems with the new liver.

Thank you so much for your help! The family is very appreciative for anything you can donate.
