Our beautiful mother passed away on July 18th peacefully surrounded by her loving children. We are in the process of honoring her with a proper funeral and would appreciate any generosity you could offer to help her family though this process. Below is her eulogy which gives you a sense of how wonderful this woman truly was. Anything you could do to help would be greatly appreciated.
Julie Von Kenyon, a life long Minnesotan who lived true to her Scandinavian roots, departed from this life on July 18th 2022, at 63. Leaving behind a family held together by her spontaneous and affectionate love. She is survived by her devoted husband Curtis, her ex-husband and life long friend Steven, her three children Shawna, Ryan, and Stephanie, her most treasured and loved grandchildren Kya, Caden, Mnena, Luca, and Eli Her sister Leann and brother Brett, and her father David. On December 22nd 1958, the world became significantly brighter when she was born to David and Margaret Olson. Julie, among her countless accomplishments, was nothing short of refined gold in her heart and soul, she brought sunshine into darkness, laughter into sorrow, softness into hardships and beauty beyond measure into each life she encountered. What inspired Julie was serving others, a woman who needed little to be happy but demanded those around her feel the abundance of joy, she was a treasure and we are all richer in spirit because of her. She is now crowned with Glory seated among the cloud of witnesses in Heaven, where her radiance and love is joined together with Our Heavenly Father, who is from ever lasting, the Son of God Jesus Christ, and the all Holy Life Creating Spirit. Her wake service is scheduled on Friday July 22nd from 5-7pm at Daniel Lee Funeral Home in Wayzata. Funeral services to be held Saturday July 23rd at 11am at St. Mary’s Romanian Orthodox Church. Donations can be offered to her Church. Memory Eternal to our beloved mother, sweet Julie.
