Hi friends and community,

Many of you know Julie (Volk) Quinney as someone who has spent her life giving back. She's lived in the Santa Ynez Valley her entire life, taught at Christian Academy and other local schools for 20 years, and now works at Atterdag Village of Solvang—a nonprofit retirement community—continuing to serve others every day. Recently, Julie suffered a tibia and fibula fracture that required surgery. While her prognosis is good, the recovery will be long: 4-6 months of limited mobility and up to 12 months before she is fully back to normal. During this time, she's facing unexpected medical expenses, time away from work, and the everyday challenges that come with a serious leg injury.

A group of friends created this GoFundMe to help ease the financial stress so Julie can focus on healing and getting back to the life—and work—she loves.
