Julie Thompson joined the Network Operations team at TDS in 2020. Earlier this year, after undergoing numerous tests and scans, she was diagnosed with Breast cancer. It was determined that surgery was needed to remove the cancerous cells and then more testing would be needed. Due to Julie having deep vein Thrombosis (blood clots), surgery was considered very risky. Thankfully, on May 1st, Julie was able to have surgery, and it was successful! The next step is to do radiation for a few weeks and then hormone treatments for the next few years. At this time, her chance for reoccurrence is low which means that no chemo is necessary. While Julie is very thankful for this outcome, she is the sole provider, and the medical bills post-surgery have put a financial strain on her.
