Julie Park's Rebuild: Fort Myers Beach

Hello friends and family,

With a heavy heart, we reach out to you on behalf of our sister, Julie Kuschel Parks. As you may know, Hurricane Ian destroyed Fort Myers Beach, Florida, where Julie was living in her adorable little apartment on the beach. We are so grateful that she is safe but also heartbroken for all the devastation and loss.

Thankfully Julie and her pup, Ted, have a temporary place to stay with her daughter, Lauryn, and her grandkids. But she has lost everything. Her home was completely swept away with all of her personal belongings and sentimental family keepsakes. Her work truck and car were submerged in the floodwaters - and the airstream she's been working so hard to restore herself is gone, too. It's pretty overwhelming.

She's a hardworking small business owner, a US Navy veteran, and one of the most resilient people we know. She's eager to rebuild her life and return to working in the community she loves so much. Given the current destruction in the Fort Myers area, it will take time and support from all of us.

We are humbly asking for your donations to help jumpstart Julie's recovery. The money raised from this Go Fund Me will be used toward replacing her work truck and securing and furnishing a new place to call home.
