Hi friends! I'm thrilled to announce that I've been chosen, along with a team of 10 other wonderful people, to travel to PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA this July to teach English with Briercrest TESOL. I get to take my love for language and for SWEET KIDDOS out to the nations this July?? Not only that, but I get to help teach a university English literature course??? Too much. Such a joy. There's lots more to the trip and I am very excited to talk about it, so if you're curious, just send me a message sometime.
This is such a beautiful opportunity, and I want to humbly ask for help to get there. In 1 Corinthians 3:5-7, the Apostle Paul writes, "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow." Please keep Cambodia and my team's work in your prayers, so that we can do the work we're called to and do it well, and then HOPE with us, because God is going to use our efforts beyond anything we can stick our names onto. I'm excited to prepare and be a part of this adventure.
I also want to ask for financial help. The round trip flight from Winnipeg to Cambodia is going to cost approximately $2000. I'm turning some of this over to crowdfunding to receive even the smallest amount of help, because I'll be missing a month of work to go serve in Cambodia and am graduating with my BA from Briercrest the following year, which adds up to a bit of financial strain. Still, I believe in the WORLDWIDE mission of God and the POWEFUL love of Jesus Christ and want to ask that those of you who feel able or called to partner in a piece of that with me.
