The Christie Charity

Hi Everyone,

My name is Daniel and I’m taking part in a 100km ultra challenge in the Lake District on the 7th June. It’s a circular route around the Lake District, starting in Kendal and has to be completed within 24 hours to raise money for Christies Charity in memory of my mum and sisters.

In 2013 I lost my mum to lung cancer at the age of 40 and Christies were so supportive in her short battle. Following this, my sister Amy was diagnosed with an aggressive stomach cancer and was treated and given palliative care at Christies. Christies were so supportive of Amy as well as her family and friends.

Christies Supoort thousands of people through their cancer journey and so I want to give back and challenge myself to the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. It is not comparable to what those living with cancer are going through.
