Julie Maxwell Lewis Bursary

Hi guys,

After the success of our last year fundraising for our amazing marathon team we have decided to enter not ONE team but TWO this year PLUS a walking team!!!!

The back story for our bursary for anyone who doesn’t know - in August 2019 we suddenly lost an amazing friend & family member Jules.

Julie had many talents and amongst these was her dream to perform on the stage which she did many of times on many of stages in Northern Ireland and further afield.

Our teams running/walking this year’s Belfast marathon are raising money towards the Julie Maxwell Lewis Bursary.

This bursary has been set up to support emerging actors, writers and directors. Helping them to make their dreams a reality, all any creative needs is support and this bursary aims to do just that as Jules would say “you are enough”.

We just hope we can bring in enough money to help send a young actor or actress to drama school or to help a young director to stage a play or a writer needing finances. Any creatives really.

“And we would like to think that we can operate the bursary on an annual basis by holding more fund-raising events in the future.

“Julie would have been thrilled to find out about what we are doing to honour her. She was a great believer in supporting young hopefuls who want to get a foothold in the business."

The dream teams this year consists of Julie’s nearest and dearest, those who will be running and others who will be cheering us along the way. Any donation/training tips/support would be greatly appreciated from the team !

The support we received last year was amazing and we hope to smash our target again this year.
