In Memory of Julie Litsinberger
Donation protected
Julie Litsinberger recently passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 in the company of her family. She was a wonderful mother, sister and friend who touched the lives of those around her. She leaves behind two beautiful daughters, Casie and Jessica and her wonderful son, Jerred.
Julie has been battling cancer over the past 10 years. In February of 2012 she was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma of left side maxillary sinus cavity. She received 35 radiations, 7 weeks of Chemotherapy and has had to date over 45 surgeries.
In September of 2018 the cancer spread to her right lung and lymph nodes. She had another round of radiation, multiple weeks of Chemotherapy, 6 weeks of triple Chemotherapy and 1 year of immunotherapy. The cancer in her right lung was removed leaving her right lung melted from the radiation.
She has had surgery almost every 8 weeks for the last ten years. In 2020, it was discovered that there were some tumors remaining so she began 1 year of immunotherapy which she planned to follow with 2 years of double immunotherapy.
She was having CT scans every two months to monitor any progression which showed they were stable until Fall of 2021. The immunotherapy unfortunately caused her body to become toxic. The results not only showed two new tumors (on her right lung), they also showed the stable ones had doubled in size.
She had to start double chemo in November of 2021 in addition to needing several restorative surgeries that are not covered by insurance. In February of this year, the cancer had spread to her liver. Since then, she has went through multiple types of chemotherapy treatments and unfortunately the chemo did not help. This past Thursday, the Litsinberger family was told that Julie only had a few months to live. Unfortunately, she lost her battle yesterday.
Julie has always been such a bright, positive, and loved spirit. Julie lost both her father and her mother to cancer in 2010 and 2021. She leaves behind three children. Jessica is her youngest, who is 14 years old and still in high school. Jerred is in the military and Casie is a nurse.
If you knew Julie at all you at some point received some kind of love, gift or support from her. She was not only an inspiration, she was a loving mother of 3, a fighter, and a superhero. We appreciate all donations and prayers possible and hope her story can inspire others to always keep going when times get tough.
If you are not able to donate, please just share her story so hopefully it will impact and inspire others as much as it has for her family. We are all devastated by her passing. Her children were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service for their mother. We want to give Julie the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes. Please consider donating to the family, as any amount will truly help them during this difficult time.
