Hello all, my name is Caraline Oakley. Julie Kreymborg, a beloved member of the Southampton community and friend to all, passed away on March 22, 2024 at age 20 after battling an extremely rare cancer. Julie was determined, kind, and always saw the good in things. In honor of her, my brother, Christian, and I are running half marathons on April 27th in Nashville and St. Louis, respectively. We are fundraising to help start the Julie Kreymborg “Reach for the Stars” Memorial Scholarship at Southampton High School. Elaine and Chip Kreymborg, Julie’s parents, have initiated this scholarship. We will be running to raise funds for this year’s award. The scholarship will be given to exceptional seniors who best exemplify the qualities that Julie demonstrated: self-efficacy, aspirational, perseverance, compassion, empathy, and an inspiration to others.
